Specialist care from our family to yours

Founded by a husband-and-wife team – a neonatologist and a paediatric nurse – Nest brings together the Gold Coast's only private neonatologists, alongside paediatricians with a focus on development and behaviour. We provide specialist care from before birth through every stage of childhood.

Our family, caring for yours

Nest is founded and run by a husband-and-wife team – a neonatologist and a paediatric nurse, parents of three. We look after your family the way we'd want someone to look after ours, because that's exactly why we built Nest.

Welcoming a baby, and raising a child, brings some of life's most joyful moments – and some of its most uncertain. Being a family ourselves shapes everything about how we care: unhurried time, questions always welcome, and the feeling of being genuinely looked after, not hurried through.

Our care stays with you in one continuous pathway – from no-cost antenatal consults before your baby is born, through the newborn months, and into childhood in our own clinic. One familiar team, from the very beginning.

Two services, one familiar team

Nest isn't a one-stop shop that does a little of everything. It's two focused, deeply specialised services – one for newborns, one for children – each led by clinicians who have chosen to dedicate their careers to that work. Different expertise for different stages, held together by one family and one set of values.

Specialist newborn care, from pregnancy, to hospital, to home

Expert neonatal care for your baby's earliest months – meet our team before birth with a bulk-billed antenatal consult, then specialist neonatologist-led care in hospital and unhurried follow-up, working closely with your maternity team.

Specialist paediatric care, through every stage of childhood

Considered, unhurried care through childhood – developmental and behavioural assessment, general paediatrics, and bulk-billed second opinions. A calm, judgement-free space for families looking for clear answers and kindness.

Why families choose Nest

Hospital-level expertise through every stage The kind of specialist depth usually found in major hospitals – neonatologists caring for your newborn, and paediatricians with real depth in development and behaviour caring for your child.

Relationships, not just appointments We take the time to understand your family – not just the reason for today's visit. Expectant families even meet our team before their baby is born, with a bulk-billed antenatal consult, and whatever stage you join us, you're cared for by people who come to know your story.

Genuinely there for you Long and unhurried appointments, and a team you can actually reach between visits – no fees just to ask an extra question, no layers of admin to get through, and a practice manager who's a paediatric nurse and can talk through a concern directly.

Warmth, kindness and transparency We care for families the way we'd want our own cared for. That means no judgement, no rushing, and no question too small. Our fees are capped and published in full, so you always know what to expect. Many of our services are free for every family, because specialised care shouldn't mean unpredictable or excessive costs.
